Shanghai Baolite’s “optical storage, charging and inspection” integrated charging station was completed and put into operation.


Recently, Shanghai Baolite’s “optical storage, charging and inspection” integrated charging station was completed and put into operation, which adopts the Contemporary Nebula optical storage, charging and inspection intelligent fast charging station overall solution.

The charging station is located in Shanghai Robotics Industrial Park in Baoshan District, covering a total area of 1,800 square metres, equipped with 40 fast-charging parking spaces, and 8 sets of 180kW and 32 sets of 160kW DC fast-charging piles that can replenish 80% of the electricity for electric vehicles within 30 minutes, effectively solving the problem of “difficult charging” for electric vehicles. Vehicle owners can scan the code for charging and conveniently settle the bill through the Time Charge App.

The station is equipped with an 800m2 photovoltaic carport, generating 120,000 kWh of green electricity annually, which is equivalent to an annual CO₂ reduction of 120 tonnes.

The charging station is equipped with three sets of 630kW/828kWh liquid-cooled energy storage systems, each set of liquid-cooled energy storage system integrates core equipment such as battery cabinets, PCS, control cabinets, and monitoring systems, etc. in a 20-foot container covering an area of 14.4 square metres.

With a total capacity of 2,484kWh, the energy storage system can store PV green power for local consumption; it can also charge batteries during off-peak load hours and supply power to EVs during peak load hours according to the local peak and valley tariffs, thus “cutting peaks and filling valleys” to enhance operational income.

With a total power of 1,890kW, the energy storage system can effectively support the peak demand for EV charging power, realise peak power smoothing, and mitigate the impact of high-power charging on the power grid, thus reducing the initial investment in power augmentation and modification.

The energy storage system adopts the liquid-cooled thermal management technology solution, which reduces self-consumption of electricity by 20% and occupies 40% less floor space than the air-cooled solution, and is more suitable for construction and deployment in the city due to its high reliability of power supply, low operation and maintenance cost, and less floor space.

During the charging process, vehicle owners can also experience free battery testing services and obtain a battery health test report, which provides data support for battery risk warning, battery residual value assessment, insurance loss determination and battery recycling.

In order to enhance the charging experience, the charging station is also equipped with a convenience store, catering and leisure area, driver’s lounge and other service areas, so that car owners can enjoy a moment of rest while waiting for charging.
