CNTE and Sonnen Successfully Commission 1.1MW/1.14MWh C&I Energy Storage Project in the United States

May 12, 2026 By cntepower

United States — Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy (CNTE), a global provider of integrated energy storage solutions invested by CATL, has successfully commissioned a 1.1MW/1.14MWh commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage project in collaboration with Sonnen at an office park in the United States.

The project is now fully operational and designed to support the reliable and resilient operation of commercial facilities through advanced energy storage technology and intelligent grid interaction.

Installed within the office park’s power infrastructure, the system actively participates in local grid frequency regulation services, helping improve grid stability and support more balanced electricity distribution in the surrounding area. At the same time, the energy storage system provides backup and emergency power for critical commercial loads, ensuring operational continuity during grid disturbances or unexpected outages.

As demand for reliable and flexible power solutions continues to grow across the U.S. commercial sector, the deployment highlights the increasing role of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in strengthening energy resilience and enabling smarter energy management for commercial properties.

Key benefits delivered by the project include improved grid stability and frequency support, reliable backup power for essential office park operations, and enhanced energy security for tenants and facility operators.

The project demonstrates CNTE’s capability to deliver high-performance C&I ESS solutions tailored to real-world commercial applications. By combining advanced battery technology, intelligent energy management, and strong system integration capabilities, CNTE continues to support customers in achieving higher energy efficiency and operational reliability.

The collaboration with Sonnen also reflects the importance of strategic partnerships in accelerating the deployment of sustainable energy infrastructure worldwide.

“Energy storage is becoming a critical component of modern commercial energy systems,” said CNTE. “Together with partners like Sonnen, we remain committed to supporting smarter, more resilient, and more sustainable power networks through innovative ESS solutions.”

As global markets continue advancing toward cleaner and more flexible energy systems, CNTE will continue expanding its international footprint and delivering reliable energy storage technologies for commercial and industrial customers worldwide.
